Teaching aims:
A. Enable the students to talk about your own favorite subjects and give reasons.
B. Enable the students to talk about others’ favorite subjects and guess reasons.
C. Enable the students to talk freely about subjects and other things or people they like best with the words and expressions.
D. Enable the students to communicate with each other in English.
E. Help the students improve their abilities of listening, speaking and writing.
Language focus:
What's your favorite subject? My favorite subject is English．
What's his／her favorite subject? His/Her favorite subject is math．
Why do you like English? Because it's interesting．
Teaching procedures:
I. Warming-up activities for interest
Enjoy a short film: “Harry Potter”. Lead to talk about the subjects we study at school.
II Play a memory game
Revise the subjects we study at school.
III While-task
1. Drill these sentences: What's your favorite subject?
My favorite subject is English．
Why do you like English? Because it's interesting．
What's his／her favorite subject? His/Her favorite subject is math．Why?
2. Talk about the pictures to be sure every student to master those language structures.
3. Talk about something about the famous people.
4. Have a chant.
5. Design a school schedule for themselves, and tell the reasons.
